Directions

Miami Beach Convention Center: The Convention Center is located at 1901 Convention Center Dr., just east of Meridian Avenue at 17th St. and just north of the world famous Lincoln Road Walking Mall.

Directions from South: I-95 Northbound, Exit 395 East (MacArthur Causeway) to Alton Road North, Right on 17th St., Left on Convention Center Drive(at the light in front of City Hall).

Directions from North: I-95 Southbound, Exit 195 East (Julia Tuttle Causeway) to Alton Road South, Left on 17th St., Left on Convention Center Drive, follow the signage.

• Rates shown are special rates for JIS attendees (plus area taxes which average 13%)
• JIS' opinion of each hotel, hotel rates, and the relevant options are listed.
• Special Rates cut-off dates are usually 30-45 days before the show or as noted.
• Most require cancellations 7 days prior to your arrival to avoid a one-day charge.
• You must use the group code number for each hotel to get the special JIS rates.
• Obtain a written confirmation or confirmation number and re-confirm the rates.
• Should you have to cancel your reservation, be sure to get a cancellation number.

The Alexander is a condo building with about one-third of the units in a full service hotel operation. Rooms are extremely clean and very updated. This IS NOT your typical part-time hotel operation inside a condo building. They are a 3-4 star property with everything that a full service hotel has to offer including the famous Don Shula's Steakhouse Restaurant on premise. Hotel is at 52nd Street and Collins Avenue right on the famous beach of Miami Beach. The hotel is just a short 10-minute drive to the Show and Art Deco District.

The JUNIOR SUITE is a full 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Apartment with kitchen, dining room and living room and has about 950 square feet.

The DELUXE SUITE offers the same but is about 1250 square feet with a slightly upgraded floor plan and décor.

Rooms include up to 4 persons in a room (Additional person(s) are $15.00 each per night), local and 800 number phone service, beach and pool privileges, gym, etc. Taxes are extra at about 13% and Valet Parking is $23.00 a day which is a special JIS rate. A one night deposit is required and is refundable providing any cancellations are made not after 7 days prior to the arrival date.

Valet parking is $15/night. Full sized 2 bedroom apartments with full kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms, etc. at this older luxury condominium converted into a beachfront hotel rental property. This is not a full service hotel. Accommodations are generally large with the master 2 bedroom suite averaging around 2100 square feet. Rooms are a little "tired" but certainly acceptable. Hotel does not have a restaurant but Don Shula's famous steakhouse is within walking distance. Other restaurants are within a 5 minute drive. Hotel also has a small mini-mart store on premises.
